Cooperstown Central School District Announces New Universal Pre-K Classroom

Posted Date: 9/09/25 (3:17 PM)

The Cooperstown Central School District is excited to announce the opening of a brand-new Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) classroom at Cooperstown Elementary School. This initiative comes in response to a growing community need for expanded early childhood education opportunities.

Starting this school year, the program will welcome 18 students into a supportive, engaging, and developmentally focused learning environment. The classroom will be led by Jennifer Lippitt, a dedicated and experienced lead teacher, with support from classroom aide, April Aramini.

We are thrilled to be able to provide more young learners in our community with access to high-quality early education. Research consistently shows that early learning sets the foundation for lifelong success, and this program reflects our district’s commitment to meeting the needs of all families.

The creation of the new classroom was made possible through the New York State Funded UPK Allocation and the Cooperstown General budget fund, demonstrating the district’s dedication to expanding opportunities for local children.

With this expansion, Cooperstown Elementary continues its mission to foster a strong educational foundation, preparing students academically, socially, and emotionally for success in kindergarten and beyond.
