PARP is an acronym for "Pick A Reading Partner." First started in 1978, PARP is a program designed to engage and involve parents, caregivers and other adults in fostering the love of reading in children. Researchers and educators know that reading outside of school boosts learning and achievement for students, but more importantly, it creates lifelong readers! 

Cooperstown Elementary School’s theme for PARP this year is “Escape into a Book.”
