In an effort to provide care to your students, even when the school is closed, we have two School-Based Health Centers open every week day, except major holidays when schools are closed. As indicated on the post, any child enrolled in a SBHC can be seen in any SBHC! Many thanks and Happy Holiday

I caught someone rather unexpected playing Elf on the Shelf this morning Principal Malcuria!! 😲 I spotted her hiding up on roof of the school in full elf attire, spying on all of us to see who's being naughty or nice on the way into school. Principal Malcuria says she plans to visit more classrooms as this merry little elf before our holiday break. So if you see an overeager elf prancing around, be warned - it's still the principal keeping tabs! You better watch out, you better not cry... 🎅🏻🧝‍♂️

The 5th grade Engineering Elves are hard at work during our holiday season of STEAM. The 5th grade STEAM club designed, built, and tested marble mazes. Students collected data to determine the best design and got to try their problem solving skills on each other’s designs. Next up is building the tallest ornament tree and then designing a “snowball” launcher.

In keeping with the holiday themes of giving and gratitude, the Cooperstown Central School Service Unit is giving $250.00 to each of our two local Food Pantries. The Cooperstown Food Pantry is currently running a “Matching Campaign”, which turned the $250.00 Service Unit donation into a $500.00 donation! Kudos to our National Honor Society students who delivered the check and then helped unload a truck from the Regional Food Bank. It is especially important during the holiday season to support our local nonprofits. Every act of kindness and generosity will make our community healthier and happier. Please give generously this year!

These 4 Cooperstown swimmers pictured left to right, Brendan Heavner, Theo Fuery, London Kinley and Creighton Williams were walking from CCS to Danny's on Main Street for a meal before a recent swim meet. On their way they came across a senior gentleman on the ground in a grassy area in the village. He had fallen, he was possibly injured, confused and quite cold. These young men provided assistance and helped him back home. One was calling 911, others were making sure he was okay. They certainly displayed two of the 4 "C's" of a Cooperstown athlete, "C" oopererative and "C" lassy with this act of kindness.
