Support Parker McManus in Heart of a Giant Award Voting

Cooperstown Central School junior and Hawkeyes varsity football player Parker McManus has been selected as a Week 3 nominee for USA Football’s 2026 Heart of a Giant Award, presented by the New York Giants and Hospital for Special Surgery.

The Heart of a Giant Award recognizes high school football players who demonstrate the qualities of a true “giant” – including character, perseverance, leadership and commitment both on and off the field.

As a Week 3 nominee, Parker has the opportunity to advance as one of the program’s finalists. Six weekly winners will advance as finalists, and each receive a $1,000 equipment grant for their high school football program. Additional finalists will also be selected through the honorable-mention process.

• Voting is open now through Sunday, Oct. 11, at 11:59 p.m.
• The Week 3 finalist will be announced Monday, Oct. 12, at noon
• Voting is limited to one vote every 24 hours per device
