Friday, June 21, 2019 (Cooperstown, NY) - Cooperstown Central School Kid Garden will host a Volunteer Orientation in CCS Kid Garden on Monday, June 24th at 7pm. CCS Kid Garden boasts a beautiful teaching garden for the use of CCS students, teachers and all staff and also serves as an abundant source of food donations to the Cooperstown Food Pantry. Keeping the garden flourishing and producing during the Summer months requires many volunteers and ensures that the teaching space will be ready for use when school begins in the Fall. Please join Kristen Griger for an evening of orientation so that you can do your part to support Kid Garden throughout the Summer. Refreshments will be served for all adults and children who attend. Bring your work gloves to do a little weeding and sign up for a few days of weeding this summer. Not an experienced gardener? No problem! We can pair you with someone who can show you the weeds from the veggies. For more information about Kid Garden, please contact Kristen Griger at kristenmgriger@gmail.com.
