The eighth grade students are preparing their National History Day projects for the local competition to be held in February. This year's theme is Rights and Responsibilities in History. Students can work individually or in groups to produce an exhibit, website, performance, or documentary. Individuals can also choose the historical paper category. All students produce a process paper to explain their research process from start to finish. Each of their resources must be identified in their annotated bibliography, which explains why they chose the source and how they used it. This long-term project requires research, analysis, and revisions in order to produce the final product.
Students with baseball related topics researched at the Baseball Hall of Fame Library and Research Center. They utilized primary sources from contracts to newspaper articles to personal letters about their topics.
Good luck at the competition!
