Sunday, May 24, 2020 (Cooperstown, NY) - The CCS 2020-20201 School Budget Vote and Board of Education election will be conducted entirely by absentee ballot this year due to NY state mandates based on Covid-19. CCS staff members from the Service Unit have been busy preparing thousands of ballots for mailing.
These special envelopes should arrive in homes beginning Memorial Day weekend. A ballot, along with a postage paid return envelope, has been mailed with instructions to each registered voter in the Cooperstown School District. Residents are asked to return their ballots by mail, using the prepaid envelopes. Only one ballot per envelope is allowed.
All absentee ballots must be received in the District Clerk’s office by 5 p.m. on June 9, 2020.
CCS District residents with additional household member(s) that are qualified to vote and did not receive an absentee ballot, can request one with no requirement for in-person signature or appearance,
by calling Wendy Lansing, Clerk of the CCS Board of Education at 607-547-5364; or
emailing ccsvote@cooperstowncs.org or faxing request to 607-547-5100.
