CCS staff are preparing for the 2020 Commencement Ceremony to be held this Sunday, June 28th at 1:30 P.M. In compliance with NY State guidelines due to Covid-19, the commencement will be closed to the public while the Class of 2020 enjoys the opportunity to graduate together outdoors on school grounds. The public is invited to view the commencement on a live feed available on the Facebook page of Cooperstown Central School District. The CCS Parent Project Committee has planned a parade through Cooperstown village streets at 5 PM following commencement. The village of Cooperstown was buzzing with volunteers early this morning as CCS Class of 2020 student banners were proudly hung from lamp posts all along Main Street and Pioneer Street. The previous CVS storefront windows are adorned with Class of 2020 student images and a large banner now hangs high above Main Street - the first banner ever to be hung from the newly installed poles. Wendy Kiuber and Colleen Donnelly are spearheading the parent volunteer Project Committee that coordinated these efforts. Project Committee grew out of the annual Project Prom committee that typically serves to coordinate an after-prom event for our CCS students. With changes necessary due to COVID-19 this year, the committee has been repurposed to complement what the school is planning for the 2020 CCS Commencement. CCS thanks our dedicated parent and community volunteers who continue to support our CCS Class of 2020!
