Thursday, October 3, 2019 (Cooperstown, NY) - CCS 7th/8th grade students had the opportunity to camp overnight in the Catskills this week. CCS Physical Education teachers Monica Wolfe and Mike Niles led students through the Kaaterskill Falls Trail and experienced North Point, Boulder Rock and the observation deck of the Kaaterskill Falls. Therapy dogs provide physical, social, cognitive, emotional and environmental benefits to students throughout the building. Cooperstown Elementary School is still collecting dried-up markers to send to Crayola to be recycled into energy-efficient fuel. Used markers of any brand can be dropped off at the Elementary School to be ColorCycled. So far we have ColorCycled 6,310 markers since October 2017.
