Cooperstown CSD’s Counseling Department is excited to announce upcoming opportunities for you, the larger community, and our students to learn more about screen time and navigating the internet safely, with an emphasis on mental health and wellness. On March 7th, the Integrated Community Alternatives Network (ICAN) will present a parent and community workshop at the Cooperstown Village Library. The program will be from 6:30-7:30PM and our gracious PTA will be offering refreshments beginning at 6PM. Students in grades 4-12 will receive similar but developmentally appropriate presentations at school throughout the month of March. These presentations will be held on March 15th for students in grades 4-8 and on March 21st at the Jr./Sr. High School Health Fair for students in grades 9-12. The goal of these programs is to educate students and families on the tools, skills, and strategies needed to become more digitally literate and safe, while gaining an understanding of the mental health impacts of our digital footprint. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to the CCS Counseling Department. We look forward to seeing you soon!
